Fact: I love this photo. This is "The Great One" with his family in 1997 at home. I adore everything about this image. The colors, the smirks, Janet is trying to eat Trevor, the kids all piled up on Wayne, it's all just so magical to me. I look at this photo and it reminds me that the guy who is the greatest of all time in his sport also seems to be the greatest of all time to his family.
The Great One also said something great. He said, "You miss 100% of the shots you never take". Now, some of you might think that Michael Scott came up with that but in fact, Wayne Gretzky did and many other greats have repeated it over and over again. This guy was truly The Great One, not just one the ice but off the ice as well. I think I love this photo so much because I want to emulate it. I want to be "The Great One" to my own tribe at True Artist as well as to my tribe at home.
